OCFA Hosts Annual Open House, Welcomes Thousands for a Day of Fire Safety and Fun

On Saturday, March 15, the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) opened its doors to the community for its highly anticipated annual Open House event.
Held at our Regional Fire Operations and Training Center in Irvine, the event welcomed thousands of guests for a behind-the-scenes look at the work we do every day to protect Orange County.
Visitors of all ages enjoyed a full day of excitement—from touring our state-of-the-art facility to watching live fire demonstrations that showcased the skill and training of our firefighters.
Guests also had the chance to ride on a fire engine, try their hand at fire extinguisher training, and take part in hands-on activities in our interactive Safety Education Trailer.
Crowd favorites included the US&R and Arson Dog demonstrations, vehicle extrication displays, and fire hose squirting activities for the kids. Our helicopters and specialized apparatus were also on display, giving attendees an up-close look at the tools we use in emergency response.
Thank you to everyone who joined us—we were proud to share our mission of safety, service, and preparedness with our community. We’re already looking forward to seeing you at next year’s event!
